Etienne Caillet has been a trumpeter since 1983. He touched his first turntables in 1995 for his daily soul & funk radio show. He created and directed Whoua Art Gang, the opening of the experimental jazz-funk edition 98 of the Aye-aye Festival with a band of 25 musicians. In 1999, after several musical adventures in France and in Europe, he obtained a residency and became artistic director of the Terminal Export in Nancy until June 2002. He is also the sound engineer for various artists such as Frank Black (ex Pixies), Peter Hammill, Dom Colmé, The Fleshtones, Certain General, Tété and Guem to name a few. His original style and dubby sound allows him to mix the reggae-dub from Jamaicans such as Ras Mickael, The Gladiators, The Abyssinians, The Ethiopians, Big Youth, and Dillinger. July 2002, he started touring in the south with his duet Bates Motel with Dj Zvanko.
